2.10.2010


Those numbers feel like they came out of the Twilight Zone...

Turning 20 on 2.10.2010..hmm... hopefully thats a very good sign that as I grow older today..I aslo become wiser! Hahahahaha! Even if it was hellweek, it immediately felt like a good day when i woke up feeling like P. Diddy! Hahahahaha! Everything just seemed so bright and shiny hahahaha!

Since I had a math test the next day, the Family and I we're just gonna have a simple dinner out so that I still would have enough time to study. But the amazingly when I got to math class, the prof decided to move the test to next week which gave me more time to study as well as really enjoy my birthday!

So after a really fun day in school and seeing everyone (Thanks for the Greetings :D), the family and I we're going to have dinner in Zuni at Greenbelt 5. Having the same owners as Duo in Serendra, I knew that the Zuni would not disappoint.



The Menu



For Appetizer I had Salmon Carpaccio
Had just the right amount of smoked flavor and tangy bite from the vinaigrette



Then For my entrée I had Beef Tenderloin topped with Foie Gras
served with potato wedges and assorted veggies



That was a really generous portion of Foie Gras



And then for desert we ordered the Zuni Dessert sampler so that we'd have a little bit of everything



Then as a surprise, the kind people of Zuni came over our table with this cake and sang Happy Birthday

No that was a really good birthday celebration! One for the ages for sure! Still can't believe I'm no longer a teen, but I guess that day had to come sooner or later :D

Afternoon Delight!

After one stressful day in school, I always look forward going home and immediately raiding the refrigerator for a snack.It may be sweet, healthy, or even junk food... Its just always comforting that there's a treat waiting for you at home.

So one afternoon, I was in for a really good treat because it so happens that we had the famous scones from Manila Peninsula. I immediately took them out of the refrigerator and heated them up. The past few days, I've just been going crazy over the taste of berry preserves and cream cheese. Its like a fast and simple way to solve the sudden craving for cheesecake. So as a perfect compliment for my scone, I slathered on it some cream cheese and strawberry preserves.

Served with some hot tea, that was a really scrumptious afternoon delight! Talk about feeling cultured :D Hahahahaha!
