Beatnik Bourbon and Rocket Fuel
As initiation to our little group, all cousins must have a glass of Rocket Fuel. A spicy concoction of Silver Tequila, Jalepeño Pepper Vodka, Cointreau and Lime Syrup.
I already had one before with the other half of the group, so most of tried something different. I had Beatnik Bourbon which is a mixture of Bourbon, Cherry Juice, Cointreau, and torched orange slices. Zesty yet smokey!

With the Christmas season in full bloom, it was just about the right time to meet up with a few friends for dinner before everyone gets even busier with all other engagements related to Christmas. As expected, every restaurant in High Street was packed so our group decided to give Stock Market a try since it was either that or eat at 11pm.. (which felt like just about the same time we ended up eating since our order took forever in the kitchen)
So for my order of sliders, a promising combination of ingredients which failed to deliver. The meat was meat, the veggies were veggies, and the bun was a bun (which was not even toasted at that). And for the amount of time that our orders took, it seemed to have taken a huge amount of effort make something unimaginative and forgettable.
The only thing good from our visit was the amazing company of friends...
on to the next one!

Shangri-la's Lobster Eggs Benedict

Lobster Eggs Benedict served with a side of Mushroom and Cherry Tomato Salad and Hashbrown
Admired the perfectly poached eggs!
Was a bit disappointed though with how the Lobster part of the dish meant a small slice of lobster meat on top of each eggs benedict..

Subspace's Chocolate Campfire Cake
One of my favorite chocolate cakes has to Chocolate Campfire from Subspace!
Fudgy chocolate cake layered with luscious chocolate ganache and then smothered with marshmallow frosting which is then torched giving both the effect and flavor of eating roasted marshmallows and s'mores.
and it just happens to be sold in my favorite Korean themed coffee shop in Manila!

Childhood memories!
A classic. Dunkin Donuts definitely came up with a brilliant idea to dress up donut holes!!
My favorite is the choco butternut munchkin which is basically the chocolate donut holes which they covered in a crumbly butternut exterior.
These definitely reminds me of the good old, carefree days!

Ciudad Fernandino's Chocolate Cake
When bored, let them eat cake!!
One thing Ate Roan, my cousin's wife, really bond over with is food, specifically sweets! So while spending a lazy afternoon in my Lola's house, we dragged ourselves out of the house and drove a few blocks to Ciudad Fernandino, a local bakery in Urdaneta.
We ordered our favorite Caramel Chocolate Cake. A rich, fudgy chocolate cake smothered with homemade caramel that has just the right amount of sweetness with a perfect, velvety texture.
We got one whole cake, but as you can see we already reached half before I got to take a picture haha
