my kpop escape
Being very much interested in korean culture, I finally found a korean solace where I could just sit and enjoy the vibe while sipping on Korean inspired coffee and other sweet treats. For quite some time now I have been a fan of Space Encounters in Ortigas for their quirky furniture and of course, their kpop merchandise. When I found out that the founders of Space Encounters were now partaking in the food scene and opening a coffee shop inspired by Korean Telenovela "Coffee Prince" (so i heard), I just had to try it immediately. Luckily Subspace is conveniently located beside dad's office so now I try to find every excuse I can to stop by the office and spend a few moments in Subspace. This trip to Subspace however I went with my new food adventure friends Joe, Meg, and Mon!
Like the juxtaposition between the cold concrete interiors and the warm and inviting furniture and fixtures.
In Subspace you would find a lot of quirky and kpop things..
hence the chair-chandelier.
Purple Yam Frozen Latte
If you're not a big coffee fan, or even if you are, this is a must try!
The hints of purple yam flavor was tastefully executed.
Dark Chocolate Mint
Just the right amount of dark chocolate and mint essence
nothing overpowering here!
Baked Cheesecake
I like how their cheesecake had high altitude yet still maintaing a light and airy texture
Chocolate Marshmallow Cake
Brings back memories of s'mores!
In case you've had enough sweet treats, Subspace also serves pasta and sandwiches like this Carbonara Pasta. No hustles and bustles..just simple, good pasta :D
One thing I really like about Subspace is that its not mainstream. If you're looking for a quant spot to just hangout with friends and enjoy good food, Subspace is definitely the place. Enjoy a fresh cup of coffee while listening to soft kpop music in the background!
