A trip to San Francisco is not complete without having some soup
nestled inside a scrumptious sourdough bowl!
After an eventful day in the Farmer's Market, the family and I crossed the street and headed over to Boudin's for some late lunch. Nothing like a bowl of hot soup in the middle of winter by the bay.
In case you didn't have the time to lounge around in the bakery,
why not take some soup home and make it yourself?
Clam Chowder
A taste of San Francisco!
A warm, hearty serving of calm chowder in a huge sourdough bowl
What I really like about the sourdough bowls from Boudin is that they're not as dry/stale and dense as those used by other soup companies.
I opted to be different and ordered chicken pot pie instead..
Nothing is more comforting than chicken pot pie in a cold winter's day!
A humungous serving filled with large chunks of chicken, carrots, celery and peas..
Definitely hits the spot!
Time to head home and get ready for the night's festivities!
