Back to the mod era!
Before we began our Hollywood adventure, the family just couldn't skip breakfast!
We didn't look far, just headed downstairs and into the Standard hotel 24 hour cafe
was amazed by the unique packaging of sweeteners!
they didn't have written brands on them but the color of each package made it easy to distinguish which is which!
Irish Oatmeal
with milk, bananas, dates, and brown sugar
After having a bite of this, I now suddenly crave oatmeal haha
Downtown Eggs Benedict
Smoked salmon, fresh asparagus, yellow tomatoes, and of course hollandaise sauce
Served with homefries!
The eggs were perfectly done and I really liked the subtleness of hollandaise sauce. Sometimes hollandaise can be a bit overpowering but this definitely was delightful.
I must say, breakfast at the Standard was not only delicious
but it was also the chicest diner breakfast I've had!
