Okonomiyaki and Sukiyaki
That's a mouthful of -yaki...
With me still craving asian cuisine (Korea Hangover) and mom wanting to cook something, one lazy afternoon became the perfect time to try making Okonomiyaki, a Japanese pancake.

New Starbucks
Goodbye Coffee...
Just got back from Korea and the heat of summer has already begun. -1 degrees in Seoul actually sounds good now. After a Starbucks run, noticed that our local Starbucks have already adapted the new cup... So as Starbucks says goodbye to the word coffee, so will I (because its just to darn hot to drink coffee now)
Myeongdong Cookie
Caramel Cookie from the streets of Myeondong!
If you're looking to satisfy a sugar craving, you can't go wrong with this cookie especially since its only 1000 won.
I heard that if you successfully eat around the shape without the cookie cracking in the center, they'd give you another one! Just a thought..

After splitting up in the afternoon and I exploring the other side of Myeongdong, the boys and I got together and went back to Shinchon to met Cha for dinner. This time we went to have authentic Korea shabu shabu house.

Sinpo Woori Mandoo
After a tour of Ch'angdokkung Palace and exploring the sights and sounds of Insadong, it was time for lunch. The boys and I were really hungry since the early wake up call for the shuttle didn't give us enough time to have breakfast which meant looking for a place which served some serious grub. Ergo, Sinpo Woori Mandoo was our lunch stop for the day.
Fresh Octopus!
As Day 1 in Seoul comes to a close, we had to end things off with a bang! So we decided, when in South Korea, do as the Koreans do! That means eating a live octopus!
Korean Grill
To celebrate our first night in Seoul, our friend turned Seoul tour guide Cha brought us to an authentic Korean grill in Sinchon.
N Seoul Tower
Still in Seoul Day 1!
After a quick break in our hotel, it was time to continue exploring Seoul! There's no better way to see Seoul but through the views seen up in the N Seoul Tower situated on top of Namsan mountain.

Happy Sopong
After a post-shopping run in the local stores of Myeondong, we passed by Happy Sopong which was just a block away from Ibis. Being amazed by how the sandwiches were shaped like fishes, we just had to go in and try it.
Ibis Hotel Myeondong
8am in Myeondong after a short flight from Manila, Im still listening to "Fly to Seoul" boom boom boom by 2pm! Can't believe we've finally arrived in Seoul!
Really excited to begin exploring Seoul, especially Myeondong, but since all stores are still closed, the boys and I headed to our hotel to check-in and have some breakfast. So first stop, Ibis Hotel!
