'Cue

Hot of the grill!

All in all I have three older sisters or ate (pronounced ah-teh) in Filipino. Two biological and one Chinese sister! So we might be related by blood, but Ate Ketz is definitely a sister of mine because we share one very important trait, the love-to-eat one!

Bonding with Ate Ketz usually starts with shopping (until our wallets beg for mercy) capped of with trying out a new place for dinner. For her birthday though, we skipped the shopping bit and went straight to dinner at Cue, one of the new establishments found in Bonifacio High Street Central.

'Cue, shortcut for barbecue, offers a somewhat southern style cuisine with a menu overflowing with selections hot of the grill presented with a modern, gourmet flair!

Bone Marrow and Steak Tacos

One thing all of my sisters and I have in common is our fascination with bone marrow, which is basically a heart attack on a plate.

Served with salsa verde and salsa verde than wrapped with a very delicate tortilla, the steak was perfectly cooked and the bone marrow magnificently grilled, being firm enough to be scooped with a spoon yet still very creamy in texture.

Although the dish was very delicious and well executed, I just hoped that their selection of bone marrow would call for more of the actual marrow....ours had more bone 0.0

Lamb Ribs with a side of Baked Cheesy Broccoli

Well-seasoned, one could really taste the welcome addition of cinnamon to the very peppery rub, making an amazing blend of spicy, aromatic, and zesty flavors!

The Baby Back Ribs with Sweet Potato Fries

I really admire 'Cue for their slow-cooking technique which really assures very tender meats that easily fall of the bone.

Although I loved the flavors of the dry rub and the barbecue sauce used on the ribs, I wasn't so happy with the selection of the ribs since the ribs were particularly bony/skinny..

All-in-all, 'Cue serves very delicious and well marinated dishes also highlighting their expertise when it comes to slow-grilling technique. One note though is I believe 'Cue could improve more on their selections of meats and cuts to offer much more generous portions that are more suitable for their prices. But other than that, 'Cue is still definitely worth trying!
