Real housewives of Alabang
Opting to stay in on a friday night, I got to enjoy the company of my mom's friends (my friends and I fondly call them the Real Housewives of Alabang haha) while they enjoyed their wine and tapas night at home. This meant eat-all-you-can prosciutto for me!!

Hoarding Haagen Dazs
It was a very sad day when General Mills announced that they would be pulling out of the Philippines, taking all of their brands with them. That includes Haagen Dazs, who would be leaving the country on September 1.
Time to hoard!
(at least now there's one more excuse to visit neighboring countries where Haagen Daz still exists!)

Homemade Budae Jjigae
Out with the cold and missing Korea, I decided to try making homemade budae jjigae, or war stew since I figured it would be the easiest korean soup to re-create since the dish revolves around prepared meats such as ham, spams, hotdogs, and sausages.
Simple placed kimchi, gochujang, ssamjang, tofu, sausages, salami, and curly noodles (taken from a pack of ramen) in a pot of boiling water hoping to end up with at least a palatable soup.
Actually was amazed by what I was able to whip up in under 15 minutes!
Best enjoyed with a Korean movie (with subtitles of course)
