Breakfast Buffet at Le Monet

Bacon Biscuit and Le Monet's Homemade Tapa

My plate may look a bit confused in terms of cuisine but what the heck!

Le Monet truly outdoes themselves when it comes to their buffets. A good assortment of dishes which Le Monet assures is of top quality and using only the freshest ingredients such as vegetables locally grown in Baguio.

Surely coming back here!

Holy Week Getaway at Le Monet

the relaxing view from my bed

since the heat was just unbearable in the city, the family made a last minute decision to escape to Baguio for Holy week

With our usual spot being fully booked, we were thankful that Le Monet was able to accommodate us at the last minute.

Looking forward to our stay in this very modern, minimalist, boutique hotel!

Children's Party Spaghetti

Okay so I used leftover linguine..but the sauce is Mom's trusty Filipino Spaghetti Sauce recipe which was a mainstay at all our birthday parties.

Nothing beats sitting poolside on a lazy Sunday afternoon with a big bowl of spaghetti. All that's missing are balloons and kids running in and out of the pool for it to be just like the parties our parents would throw for us when we were little.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Revisiting School Food

A modern spin on Korean comfort food

맥도날드에

Breakfast of Champions!!

It may be the same in every country, but its always a thrill for my family to spend one morning having breakfast at a local McDonald's joint and having the usual Sausage McMuffin with Egg and then discussing how different it is from another country's version.

For Seoul's version, the flavours, well manner of seasoning at least haha, is pretty much the same as to the one back in Manila. I guess Koreans and Filipinos do have similar taste palates.

I wonder if the McDonald's branch we went to was the one used for the "Potato Party"...

Have a great morning!!

Sisons'SeoulAdventure2013: Nanta

The ever popular South Korean comedy show!!

I've been meaning to watch this show ever since my first time visiting Seoul but time was always an issue. Fortunately (haha), rain started pouring in Seoul. So now had the perfect opportunity to watch Nanta as we wait for the rain to stop.

Known as a kitchen musical, Nanta is a non-verbal, live presentation that incorporates the traditional sounds of the samul nori rhythm into a modern interpretation using ordinary kitchen utensils. Being lucky enough to take a course on samul nori last year, it really isn't an easy task catching the beat and rhythm, let alone using kitchen utensils to do so but the cast did it magnificently well!

Nanta is definitely a must see show that would entertain everyone in the family. My parents, who are not big fans of plays and musicals, were on the edge of their seats and laughing their butts off!
