Highlight of our trip!
A visit to Miette Patisserie
Ranked as one of the "Top 10 Desserts in America"
recognition given by the higher governing body..the Food Network!
Graham Crackers, Gingersnaps, and Chocolate Wafers
Imagine baking cheesecake using these graham crackers for the crust..idea..
Chocolate Flowers
Mom found these soo adorable
Macaron!
I spot with my hungry eyes, America's Top 10 Dessert!
Carrot Cake
being that this was the cupcake on the picture of their "top ten.." award,
we figured it was the cupcake that was a cut above the rest..and it certainly was!
Moist, light carrot cake topped with a fluffy, cream cheese frosting.
I would have to say this is the best carrot cupcake that I have had by far!
Feels light and airy, and the cupcake did not rely on the flavors of the frosting to make is delicious.
The cream cheese frosting had just the right amount of flavors of sweetness without overpowering the flavors of the cupcake, it simply highlighted the carrot-y goodness.
Old Fashioned Cupcake
A chocolate cupcake with boiled icing and then topped with a candied peanut.
Boiled icing is actually another name for marshmallow frosting.
The whole marshmallow-chocolate combination certainly
brought me back to memories of my childhood birthday parties!
Our take-home goody, Macarons!
Coffee and Vanilla Parisian Macaron
Coffee!
the macaron had the perfect amount of bite, crumble, and filling!
Vanilla!
Perfectly Flavored Filling!
The vanilla essence had just the right balance, making the macaron not too fragrant.
Subtle yet delicious!
After a sampling of various treats,
Miette Patisserie is truly deserves the title of being America's Top Dessert!
