Reminiscing Japan!
Finally, a restaurant specializing in Japanese Tonkatsu has made its way to Philippine shores!
I would neve forget my last trip to Japan and was introduced to Traditional Japanese Tonkatsu
I was immediately hooked!
First order of business..making your individual dipping sauce.
To begin, you simply crush the roasted sesame seeds given to you in a bowl with a wooden pestle.
Once the sesame seeds are crushed and fine, just pour the prepared tonkatsu sauce into the bowl
and you're good to go!
a wall of sake cups!
Mom's 90 gram Chicken Katsu Set
My 120 Gram Rosu (Pork) Katsu Set
Upon seeing my order, I immediately wanted to go back to Japan. But til then, Yabu would be my best alternative! Yabu was able to perfectly master the art of frying! The rosu and the chicken were perfectly crip and moist. Just writing about them makes my mouth water! Not to mention the amazing sesame dressing and unlimited cabbage... speechless!!
