Creamy Tomato and Sausage Pasta



With such cool weather here in San Francisco, its fun just staying in and watching a few dvds. So while getting warm in the couch and watching my second dvd for the morning, hunger struck which meant it was just about time for lunch!

Instead of heading out for a bite to eat, I rummaged through my sister's pantry and was able to find a jar of tomato sauce, basil and garlic sausage, and a pack of spaghetti noodles.




I decided to remove the sausage from its casing as to get the full flavor of the meat




Once the meat was just about brown, I added in the tomato sauce and let the two simmer together




While simmering, I decided to add a few chunks of cream cheese into the sauce.
The cream cheese made the sauce creamy and at the same time add another layer of flavor which cream would not do.




Once the cream cheese has melted and well incorporated into the sauce, all that is left is to toss in the spaghetti.




Et Viola! A nice hearty plate of spaghetti in under 15 mins!



Now all I need is a glass of wine and let the movie marathon resume!
