Sushi Sam's

Saturday's mean roadtrip! That's why Car, Mith, and I hit the road and headed for San Mateo. Although our journey can't really be considered a roadtrip since San Mateo was only roughly 40 minutes away from the house, the main purpose of our little roadtrip was to try out Sushi Sam's which was highly recommended by Car's co-workers.

After all the different and may I say curious cuisines that we try during the week, I was really looking forward to dining in a familiar "food" territory haha.

To start things off..
Salmon, Tuna, and Mackerel Sashimi
I have to say that this was the freshest sashimi that I have had in a long time

For our main course..
We all opted to had the bento box meal set
I had the Chicken Teriyaki and Shrimp Tempura Combo
served with Miso Soup and Crab and Avocado Maki.
For $10, you can't go wrong!

With all the Japanese fusion cuisines that we have grown to be accustomed to these days, its really refreshing to have some classic and authentic Japanese dining experiences from time to time. Sushi Sam just did that by serving us really simple, fresh, and classic Japanese dishes wish would truly make everyone come back for more. It is through Sushi Sam's that I am reminded about how Simplicity is key to excellence.
