Takoyaki

A quick detour had to be made right before boarding the bullet train back to Tokyo..

Dad's business partner Muti mentioned that this was one of the best Takoyaki places in Japan. It turns out Osaka is truly known for their Takoyaki Balls and one of the best was situated conviniently inside the Shin-Osaka station.

after seeing this line which I was told happens everyday meant only one thing,
that those must be some really good takoyaki! Can't wait!

The cooks suited up in soccer jerseys!
It was like watching a mini tournament, who ever could cook and box these takoyaki(s) the fastest, wins!

They offer several takeout boxes
(I dont understand what they say but boy do they look awesome!)

Our goodie bag!
We opted to savor each bite while on the train

Finally! The moment has come

With freshness seal ;)

Massive Takoyaki
(my camera phone did not do them justice)

They weren't joking when they said octopus treats! Not only was the batter very flavorful in itself, but each bite was filled with pieces of octopus meat. The takoyaki balls were so good that you could have them without the sauce and mayo unlike the ones we have back home. These takoyaki balls were truly worth the wait..they're even worth missing the train for just so that you can have another order (maybe next time hahaha)
