Time to get creative and resourceful
Being home alone one weekend meant whipping up my own lunch
Luckily while watching tv during a lazy saturday morning, I found Mad Hungry!
Following Lucinda Scala Quinn, the show focuses on creating fast, hearty, and practical recipes
that one could whip up in seconds and using ingredients that is readily available in the pantry.
So to make a Quickie Carbonara, all you would need are:
Pasta (I just used spaghetti)
eggs
bacon
Parmesan Cheese
First, get your pasta going
Once the pasta is cooking halfway through, start frying the bacon
Don't add oil please!!
In a separate bowl, mix together eggs, grated parmesan, salt and pepper
Once the bacon is nice and crispy, add the pasta straight from the boiling water and into the pan
(lessen the oil in the man if necessary)
Immediately place hot pasta-bacon into the egg mixture
Toss together
It is critical that you immediately add the hot pasta-bacon to the egg mixture
so that the eggs could heat up creating a velvety sauce
Top with more grated parmesan and then lunch is served!!
Wasn't that easy? Its tasty too!!
