Ketchup Community

Checking out Baguio's new hotspot

Holidays in Baguio.. rather, every trip to Baguio is meant to be a food excursions. Of course the holidays makes it more special because not only is the family complete, but our body gives us a free pass during the holiday, or so we like to think. So for today's food excurion, the family braved the congested streets of Baguio and try out Ketchup Community.

A compound right in front of Wright park (or the horseback riding place as kids would know it to be) is Ketchup Community which is like a little corner compound filled with restaurants and its various cuisines.

Here are some of the amazing grub we were able to try despite the hoards of people that filled the entire compound.

Cheese Steak Sandwich from Green Pepper

thinly sliced steak nestled with loads of cheese in between perfectly toasted bread.

Really liked this sandwich!

Green Pepper's Pan Roasted Lamb

Beautifully roasted lamp chops topped with a mango-mint chutney and plated on top of herbed mashed potatoes and lots of gravy.

Excellent presentation and a dish full of flavor. I really liked the sweet-refreshing taste that the chutney gave to the lamb chops compared to the usual plain mint jelly. It just tasted more fresh.

and we pushed everything down with Rancho Norte's Guyabano Shake

Smooth and refreshing. I never knew Guyabano would taste soo good when blended.

Ketchup Community is definitely that place both locals and visitors of Baguio are looking for. Finally a new place to eat at and where the restaurants are not your regular fast food joints.

Should've stayed longer and try out the other restaurants. Next time!
