giving this Vietnamese version of Halo-Halo a try
After warming up our bellies with ramen, it was time to cool down a bit since Milpitas was slighty warmer compared to everywhere else we were at today.
Lexie suggested to Chè, a traditional Vietnamese cold beverage filled with various fixings such as mung beans, jelly, and fruit. Very much like Halo-Halo back in the Philippines.
Just like halo-halo, Sweet Cup offers you a wide array of ingredients to build your Chè
Since I was a newbie.. I decided to stick with what Sweet Cup was known for.. the Lucas Special
My first cup of Chè
Compared to Halo-Halo, I actually like how Chè is much more lighter to the stomach. The house milk base is much more watery but still flavorful, allowing you to get a much better taste of the various fixings places in the drink. I also like how the fixings such as the sweetened fruit, jelly, and tapioca are just sweetened by a touch, keeping the crisp integrity of each ingredient.
Chè just taste very crip, fresh, refreshing, and light. A dessert drink you actually won't feel too guilty about.
