Ramen Yushoken

A full house is always a good sign!

Its a good thing that the ramen craze has being going around down south since we really love ramen! So on a lazy Saturday, the folks and I headed over to Molito to give Ramen Yushoken a try. We opted to go there for lunch since whenever we passed by the place on a weekend night it would always be packed.

Had some Gyoza while we waited for our ramen..

Just like the noodles, the gyoza wrappers are made freshly in the kitchen so they're definitely worth a try!

And some Karaage

Now for the ramen..
All the ramen have the same tonkotsu broth base which comes from 12 hour pork bone boiling process.. so I heard..

Shoyu

Infused with garlic and sesame seeds, The Shoyu ramen highlighted the bold flavors of the tonkotsu broth but still keeping it clean and simple. Topped with few slices of pork belly and the dish was perfect.

Tantanmen

A supposedly spicy take on ramen which used ground pork instead of the usual pork belly slices. I liked the creamy, nutty flavor of the soup but expected it to be a little bit more spicy. So more heat please..

Miso

The miso also had a creamy, richer tasting broth thanks to the miso which gave the soup a deeper pork flavor. The miso tasted alot "meatier" compared to the other two that we ordered.

Overall, it was a really good visit to Ramen Yushoken. Being lucky enough to have visited a few hole-in-the-wall ramen houses in Japan, Ramen Yushoken was able to perfectly embody how a ramen house is supposed to feel. A simple menu which strictly focuses on the ramen, with the addition of a few side dishes. Also the very fast service which reminds me of lunch time in Shibuya where the vibe is really eat-and-run.

Must come back soon!
