A mother's bribe lol
I've been intrigued about Sensei's Foie Gras Nigiri ever since I first saw it on their Facebook page. Fortunately, my mother had a very sneak way to get me to drive her to her dress fitting by using the "lets have lunch at Sensei" as cover up.
I have to give my mom props more often lol!
Foie Gras Nigiri
My reward after patiently waiting for my mom. A very clean, simple, straight forward sushi of a surprisingly thick cut of foie gras that has been gently seared and nestle on top of Japanese rice. A very light maple syrup is brushed on top to give just a hint of sweetness to highlight the flavors of the foie gras.
A very delicious and beautifully executed dish.
Also ordered the Tuna and Scallop Dynamite
As well as the Tuna Tartare served on top of crispy kangkong which is mom's favorite.
If mom would always treat me to lunches like this, I would no longer mind being her designated driver lol.
