The first stop of our BF adventure
I always looked forward to my friend, Abby's posts on instagram since she and her boyfriend always eat at the latest, hipped places in town. Luckily, Abby and Drew were very kind to accommodate me despite their busy law school schedule to take me around the new restaurants in BF.

Captivated by the very clean, sorta minimalist but with a twist vibe of the place.
Truffle Fries topped with parmesan and served with a cumin mayo
I was actually surprised how well the cumin mixed well with the truffle flavor.
Wild Arugula Salad
With Radish, Bacon, Parmesan Cheese, and Fried Egg. Drizzled with a Truffle Vinaigrette.
Blackened Snapper
Served on top of Sweet Potato Puree, beurre blanc sauce, and greens with a tarragon vinaigrette.
Really liked the contrast between the smokey flavors of the fish and the light, delicate tones of the sides.
Hanging Tender
Grilled Hanger Steak with brown butter just. Served with Maple Red Cabbage, Wild Arugula, and Potato Mashed.
I really liked the flavor and texture of the steak together with the sweet red cabbage and slighty sharp, bitter arugula. Its a good way of indulging with steak for lunch but not having such a heavy meal.
Crispy Pork Belly Banh Mi
With hoisin mayo, pickled carrots, red cabbage, and cilantro. All sandwiched in a brioche bun.
An awesome take on a Vietnamese favorite. The crispy pork belly gave a very interesting texture while all the components of the bahn mi captured all the traditional Vietnamese flavors but with a much more subdued taste which I actually liked coz banh mi can sometimes be a very overpowering sandwich.
Faux Twix Bars
As if everything wasn't awesome enough, this homemade take on the twix bar was just amazing!
So amazing, we ordered another! Must try!
Glad to have finally tried The Girl + The Bull. I really liked their sophisticated aesthetic when it comes to food but keeping it very casual and approachable. A very good balance of complex and at the same time familiar flavors that everyone would definitely love.
