Flavors

an excuse to pig-out

After roaming the street of Santa Rosa and a quick visit to Barnes and Noble, it was time for us to get an early dinner so that Nate could get enough rest for the early morning marathon and for me to fix my jetlag.

With Nate needing to carbo load, a quick surf of the net led us to Flavors which happens to be just a block away from Barnes and Noble. With Flavors being a chic yet homy bistro which serves gourmet dishes as well as some "home-cooked"inspired meals, this was the perfect place for Nate to eat tons of pasta, while Car and I enjoyed their gourmet burgers which has a separate menu of their own.

Some really soft ciabatta while we wait

Since the place was a full-house, our orders were taking a bit long to arrive.
Thankfully, the stuff we're nice enough to serve us freshly made hummus and pita bread on the house while we wait.

I really liked how their hummus has more of a smoky flavo rather than the usual lemony take on the spread.

Burger di Parma

Car enjoyed this very Italian take on burger which was served with Proscuitto, Mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, grilled onions and basil aioli.

Burger Alla Mare

Mine had more of a surf and turf theme with the burger being loaded with spinach, roasted tomatoes, spicy saffron aioli, and topped with juicy jumbo prawns!

Not only were Flavors' burgers delicious and inventive, but the burger patties themselves were good enough to eat alone without the gourmet touches. Of course a few special touches here and there didn't hurt haha.

Officially stuffed and ready for a marathon..
if only I actually joined 0.0

Off for a quick stroll and then to get rid of this jetlag
