Japanese Buffet at Nishijin
Who ever though a 4 day weekend would start of being a bit boring.. Of course enjoying the weekend lounging around the house and just being lazy is always good game plan but it sure is definite;y a waste to do it for 4 straight days!
So with a the weekend having a slow start, a handful of friends of mine decided to meet up for spontaneous get-together which later turned out to be a pre-birthday celebration for my friend Ejay since unfortunately, I would already be in Europe during his actual birthday

Bacon-wrapped quail eggs and asparagus. steak, chicken, and salmon teppanyaki. shrimp tempura. kakiage
My favorite of the night: Steak Teppanyaki!
I had several (ergo a lot) plates of this..
Opted to go simple with dessert and just had coffee jelly topped with vanilla ice cream
I really love Nishijin's coffee jelly because it has a very smooth, somewhat airy texture
way more special than just jell-o!
