Jong Ga House

 Time for some Korean eats!

As I was headed to meet my cousin for dinner plans in Hayward not too far away, I got a call saying that we had a sudden change of plans and that we were all going to Oakland instead. Of course Oakland is way further than Hayward and being already well into the night, driving out for dinner didn't seem to be such a smart idea. That was until my cousins mentioned that we were having Korean for dinner and was gonna try out Jong Ga House. Hearing a lot or raves about this place and seeing its very enticing commercial on KBS World (my guilty pleasure next to the Food Network which actually drives my sister crazy lol), I immediately said yes! We're going now!!

After a half hour, we finally found ourselves inside Jong Ga

A place known to fill up especially during dinner, we were lucky we were able to make a reservation at the last minute.

Jong Ga House had a well curated menu with all the traditional Korean dishes that I fell in love with in Seoul, but due to the little bit of effort we took driving out here, we all opted to splurge a little and ordered the eat all you can Korean BBQ.

 Banchan!

a total of 18 actually

of course the sweet potato was a favorite.. when was it not our favorite anyway lol

 Spicy Cold Noodle Soup

Cold, spicy, and tangy just like the ones from Seoul!

 Pork Belly

They definitely are generous!

Pork Belly and Beef Bulgogi now on the grill

The warmth, the chaos, the overall vibe (even up to the smell lol); Jong Ga was just like eating at an actual restaurant in Seoul. Boasting an excellent menu and quality dishes, Jong Ga truly is one restaurant worth lining up for as seen by the long line of people waiting just to get to eat dinner here. Plus, an all-you-can-eat Korean bbq meal for well under 20 dollars; no one can ask more.

It was a very good thing our plans changed that night!
