Taipan


A pre-celebration of dad's birthday!

Since my life in Seoul would be starting a few days before dad's birthday, the family got together for an intimate pre-celebration dinner.

Hakaw

These have been haunting me ever since the first time I tried them several years ago!
They just seem to melt in your mouth!!





Xiao Long Bao





Taipan's version of Xiao Long Bao is quite different from other versions in the metro..
The dimsum tastes more delicate and if I can say "less-meaty" which kept it light and delicious!





Chicken Feet
I don't normally eat Chicken Feet that often but the taste of the sauce was just irresistible





Crispy Chinese Cabbage with garlic and chili
a perfect side for all our dishes!





Sautéed chicken with leeks and wild mushroom 





Fish in black bean sauce
Really liked the sauce but the fish seemed to have been overpowered..





Taipan's Version of Pata Tim
Highlight of the evening!
The meatt was very tender and well braised
I really like the option of having steamed or fried buns with the meat





Egg Tarts to end the meal
really liked these cute little tarts!
