Broiled Salmon Fillets with Balsamic Glaze

 The easiest salmon recipe!

I always get excited when the store brings out a fresh display of salmon fillets. There's just something about salmon, with its meaty texture and distinct flavor that satisfies even the biggest meat lover.

But since we don't always have the time to crank up the over and bake a parmesan crusted salmon and what not, the best alternative is to just broil it! What makes it even better is all you need is an oven toaster!

Broiled Salmon Fillets with Balsamic Glaze

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound salmon fish fillets, sliced

Olive Oil

Salt

Pepper

Balsamic Vinegar

Dried Oregano

PROCEDURE:

1) Preheat your oven toasted to 400-450 degrees, on broil if your toasted permits

2) Cover the toaster sheet tray with foil

3) Drizzle the salmon fillet with olive oil, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar

You can always make a fancier balsamic glaze by adding rosemary, thyme, and honey to the balsamic, but since I'm using aged balsamic, I opted to just use it as is since its already thick and sweet.

4) Sprinkle a little bit of oregano

5) Broil for about 15 minutes or until cooked and flaky

Serve with your favorite salad or blanched veggies!

A quick and easy yet elegant meal. The balsamic gives a very subtle sweetness which  highlights the natural sweet notes of the salmon accentuated with the fragrant oregano.
