Pre-4th of July Celebration
Before we kick of the traditional 4th of July festivities which involves a backyard, a hot grill, and possibly fireworks, the family and I headed over to Walnut Creek to visit and spend time with Lolo Mar, our granpa's brother.
With the ignorant grand children that we were, my sister and I started to look for healthy placed to have lunch in. This involved a lot of google-ing and yelping for gourmet/salad places nearby. When we actually asked Lolo Mar what he wanted for lunch, he said he wanted to take us to his favorite burger place... The Habit.
I guess the joke was on us...
while we all just had water... Lolo Mar enjoyed a big cup of Chocolate Milkshake!

I chose the Teriyaki Burger
Fresh Ground Beef Patties chargrilled to perfection!
Served with a grilled pineapple. mayo, pickle, fresh tomato, lettuce, and caramelized onion.
A very good play on the salty-sweet combination with a bright, fresh zing from the pineapple. Also, The Habbit prides itself for always using fresh beef that was never frozen and it does show in the taste and texture of the burger.
There is definitely a reason why this burger joint is called as such...
