While my sister and I were enjoying our leisurely stroll at the Kansas City Market, we immediately had to stop and turn after seeing the Bei.gnet sign.
The last time I had beignets was during our family trip to New Orleans a couple of years back and I got to try Cafe Du Monde's famous beignets. What really got us excited though with this particular place in Kansas is that they didn't only serve the traditional, sweet beignets but they had savory stuffed beignets on the menu
Then and there we knew we had to have brunch here!
Dark Chocolate Truffle and Seafood Beignets
Warm beignets stuffed with seafood in a velvety, cream cheese sauce
I really liked how to pillowy texture of the beignets actually worked really well against the creamy yet firm seafood mixture. It was the perfect cradle for the seafood which seemed to just disappear in your mouth, leaving the chunky seafood and all its flavor.

Super rich and silky melted dark chocolate stuffed into pillowy clouds of beignet
Just perfect in every bite!
Looks like my visit if off to a great start..
