A cupcake haven finally opens in town!
Although I was really disappointed that Cyma closed the doors of its Alabang branch in town, it was a welcome surprise to find out that Vanilla Cupcake Bakery would be taking the vacated space.
I never was able to visit their branch up north, but with all the talk about how lines go one for days and various pictures I see of Vanilla Cupcake Bakery on Instagram; I knew we were in store for something good!
A very dainty cupcakery!

With the store packed, my sister and I opted to take out treats home instead..
Our order was for Chocolate Cream Pie, Carrot, Valrhona Chocolate, Banana Nutella, Luscious Salted Caramel, and Red Velvet.
We were a bit disappointed that we didn't get our Banana Nutella but was given what we think was the Chocolate Caramel (which we assumed because it had a chocolate base and caramel frosting). We assumed the with one of the waitresses particularly assigned to take orders from the line it would have made things faster and more efficient, but I guess grand-opening jitters are still there and our order was lost in translation.
My favourites have to be the Valrhona Chocolate and the Luscious Salted Caramel. Both were rich, sinful, and extra generous with the frosting. I particularly liked the Luscious Salted Caramel because it really played with the salty and sweet combo which makes it more irresistible.
Also worth mentioning is that Vanilla Cupcake Bakery's cupcakes have a very fluffy, cake-like texture, with very find crumbs which showed that their cupcakes are moister than the usual cupcakes. With that texture, I highly advise not to refrigerate the cupcakes because they do have a tendency to become very dense once refrigerated. Gives you a better excuse to finish all of them in one sitting!!
Welcome to the neighbourhood Vanilla Cupcake Bakery!
Can't wait for our next visit
